What is Manifest File in Android? Manifest File is a declaration file. It declares which permissions the application must have and the permissions that others are required to have in order to interact. It provides essential information about your app to the Android system. In every application must have an AndroidManifest.xml file present in its root directory. Manifest File declares the minimum level of the Android API. The components of the Manifest file are activities, services, broadcast receivers, and content providers.
